Okomo is an early stage startup based in Zurich, Frankfurt and Munich. We believe in the power of real-time human interaction and want to help companies capitalize on emotional connections to engage their online customers fully. Being a sales and services communication software, we integrate an elegant, live video, messaging and appointment scheduling solution directly into online channels such as websites, email, and social media to boost sales conversion for service-driven businesses.

We are immediately looking for a Communication Manager, student or graduate, who will play an integral part in building and perfecting Okomo’s appearance.

What Will You Do?

As a Communication Manager you are responsible for the following components:

  1. Write engaging and strong text pieces for the website, software, presentations, marketing materials, PR texts, email templates, etc. (German and English)
  2. Participate in developing high quality content, and demonstrate expert understanding of complex technologies, products, and market challenges.
  3. Evaluate, analyze, and improve the effectiveness of texts (e.g. with A/B testing).
  4. Collaborate with the social media manager to ensure communication alignment. Your goal will be to make people see, listen, and love communication materials from Okomo.

What Are We Looking For?

  • B.A. in Communication, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations preferred.
  • Native German and fluent English.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • A creative mind to come up with ideas on how to establish engaging text.
  • Proven record of writing high quality text.
  • Must have strong ability to work remotely and independently.

What Can You Expect?

  • Workload: Full-time/part-time
  • Start: Immediately (or by arrangement)
  • Location: Preferably Zurich or international (most of the interaction should then happen via Microsoft Teams)
  • Duration: Negotiable
  • Compensation: Paid

We are immediately looking for a Social Media Manager, student or graduate, who will play an integral part in building and perfecting Okomo’s appearance.

What Will You Do?

As a Social Media Manager you are responsible for the following components:

  1. Establish and execute an overarching social media strategy through competitor research, current trends, and platform determination.
  2. Find and establish content on how companies interact with their online audience to establish a more personal and trustful relationship with their customers.
  3. Distribute the content frequently across social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube.
  4. Ensure audience engagement by starting and/or joining trending conversations and sharing high value content.
  5. Track and record social media metrics to make suggestions to the business.

Your goal will be to increase the number of followers, shares, likes, and interactions across all of Okomo’s social media channels.

What Are We Looking For?

  • B.A. in Communication, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations preferred.
  • Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social tools knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube.
  • Excellent writing skills in German and English.
  • Must have strong ability to work remotely and independently.
