Appropriate Use Policy (AUP)
This Appropriate Use Policy applies to OKOMO's (a) websites (including, without limitation, www.okomo.com and any successor URLs, mobile or localized versions, and related domains and subdomains) and (b) the commercial services sold by OKOMO. (a) and (b) collectively, constitute the Services. To ensure the safe and smooth operation of the Services, its users agree not to misuse them.
Specifically, by using the Services, you agree not to:
- Investigate, scan or test the vulnerability of any system or network used as part of the Services;
- Tamper with, reverse engineer or hack the Services, circumvent any security or authentication measures of the Services, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services (or any part thereof) or any related systems, networks or data;
- Modify or disable the Services or use the Services in any manner that impairs or disrupts the integrity or performance of the Services or any related systems, networks or data;
- Access or browse the Services through any means other than our publicly supported interfaces or copy, distribute or disclose any portion of the Services in any medium, including, without limitation, through automated or non-automated "scraping";
- Overwhelm or attempt to overpower our infrastructure by imposing an unreasonably large load on the Services that consumes extraordinary resources, such as by: (i) using "robots," "spiders," "offline readers," or other automated systems to send more request messages to our servers than a human could reasonably send in the same amount of time using a normal browser; or (ii) exceeding the usage parameters for a particular Service, as described in the applicable documentation;
- Solicit users of our Services for commercial purposes;
- Use the Services to generate or send unsolicited communications, advertising or spam, or otherwise interfere with OKOMO's ability to send communications for itself or on behalf of its customers (e.g., by causing OKOMO to be registered on an email DNS block list or otherwise rejected by another third-party communications service provider);
- Misrepresent yourself or disguise the origin of any data, content or other information you submit (including by "spoofing," "phishing," tampering with headers or other identifiers, impersonating another person, or falsely claiming sponsorship or affiliation with OKOMO or a third party) or access the Services through another user's account without that user's permission;
- Use the Services for any illegal purpose or in violation of any law (including, without limitation, data privacy, data protection and export control laws);
- Use the Services to violate the privacy of others or to collect or gather personal information about other users (including account information) through the Services;
- Use the Services to stalk, harass, bully or post threats of violence against others;
- Transmit (or post, upload, share or otherwise make available) any data, content or other information that (i) infringes OKOMO's or any third party's intellectual property, privacy or other rights or that you do not have a right to transmit (including confidential or personal information that you do not have a right to disclose); (ii) that is deceptive, fraudulent, illegal, obscene, defamatory, libellous, threatening, harmful to minors, pornographic, indecent, harassing, hateful, religious, racially or ethnically offensive, incites illegal or tortious conduct, or is otherwise inappropriate in OKOMO's sole discretion; (iii) that contain viruses, bots, worms, scripting exploits or other similar material; or (iv) that may otherwise cause harm to OKOMO or any third party;
- Advertise or promote any products or services other than your own without proper authorisation;
- Use meta tags or other "hidden text" that includes product names or trademarks of OKOMO or our suppliers; or
- Permit or encourage any other person to commit any of the foregoing.
Without prejudice to any other remedies available to OKOMO, violations of this Appropriate Use Policy will be sanctioned in accordance with the terms of the Terms of Use.
