I am using several cameras / docking station and OKOMO conntects to the wrong camera.

If your hardware setup consists of several cameras and/or a docking station, it may happen that the preferred camera is not selected when initiating a call. In the worst case, this can lead to the system not recognizing the camera and the call cannot be initiated.

Let's us as an example the following setup:

  • Notebook with integrated camera, connected via docking station to monitors, an external camera and other hardware devices.

You want to use the external camera for calls via OKOMO, but the system connects to the integrated camera during call setup / connection setup fails, because the internal camera does not react when the notebook is closed.

In this case, deactivate the camera you don't want to use (in this case the integrated camera).

Search for "Device Manager" in the Windows search field.

Now click on Camera and right-click on the camera you don't want to use and select "Disable Device" (in the example Integrated Camera).

Restart the computer to save the setting. The camera is now disabled and the system will automatically connect to the external camera when a call is initiated.

Please note: If you change your setup and want to use the Integrated camera again, re-enable it in the Device Manager.
